Children’s advocates, business leaders, politicians and philanthropists all converged at the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto on May 25 to attend the Butterfly Ball. Boost Child & Youth Advocacy Centre’s annual gala raised nearly $1 million in support of abused children — to help raise awareness and educate with the hope that, one day, the need for such an agency will cease to exist. Sangita Patel, of “Entertainment Tonight Canada,” hosted the event, which included a performance by Juno-nominated singer Francois Klark. H2O Life Style Resort in the Turks and Caicos Islands provided the live auction’s grand prize.
