WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — Kellen Tynes had 26 points in Maine’s 72-57 victory against Holy Cross on Wednesday night.
Tynes shot 8 for 13 (3 for 4 from 3-point range) and 7 of 9 from the free throw line for the Black Bears (5-4). Peter Filipovity added 15 points while going 4 of 8 from the floor, including 1 for 3 from 3-point range, and 6 for 7 from the line, and he also had 12 rebounds and four steals. Jaden Clayton was 5 of 12 shooting and 4 of 5 from the free throw line to finish with 15 points, while adding five rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
The Crusaders (2-6) were led in scoring by Joseph Octave, who finished with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Holy Cross also got 14 points, five assists and two steals from Bo Montgomery. Louth-M Coulibaly also had 13 points and six rebounds.
