Former Sea Bears star settles with Saskatchewan Rattlers

Teddy Allen is back in the Canadian Elite Basketball League.

The 6-6 guard, who was league MVP while a member of the Winnipeg Sea Bears in 2023, has been signed by the Saskatchewan Rattlers for the remainder of the 2024 season.

Allen, who was released by Winnipeg on June 17, is expected to make his Rattlers debut Friday against the visiting Scarborough Shooting Stars.

Teddy Allen has been signed by the Saskatchewan Rattlers for the remainder of the 2024 season.

“Teddy is a tremendous basketball talent, and he will have an immediate and profound impact on the court,” said Rattlers GM Barry Rawlyk in a release. “Through extensive conversation with him I realized that with support of his teammates, coaches, our loyal fan base, and the community at large, he can also make a real positive difference in our locker room and the City of Saskatoon.”

In eight outings with Winnipeg this season, Allen averaged 28.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 34.0 minutes.
