Aaliyah Moore and Madison Booker score 18 each to lift No. 10 Texas over Texas Tech 74-47

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Aaliyah Moore and Deyona Gaston both had their first double-doubles of the season and No. 10 Texas got off to a quick start and rolled past Texas Tech 74-47 on Wednesday night.

Moore had 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds. Gaston scored 17 on 8-of-13 shooting and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Madison Booker also had 18 points for the Longhorns (14-1, 1-1 Big 12 Conference), who bounced back from their first loss in a big way.

Bailey Maupin scored 16 for the Red Raiders (12-3, 1-1), who came in averaging 73.6 points a game.

NO. 12 UCONN 94, NO. 21 CREIGHTON 50

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Led by red-hot Paige Buecker’s 24 points, UConn crushed its second straight ranked conference opponent and its fourth Top 25 team, rolling over Creighton.

Bueckers finished 8-of-12 shooting, including 4 of 5 3-pointers and made all four of her free throws. She also had seven assists, five rebounds and four steals with just one turnover. She is 8 of 11 behind the arc in her last two games.

Aaliyah Edwards had 16 points and 11 rebounds for her sixth double-double in seven games and the two freshmen who have helped the Huskies get back on track, Ashlynn Shade and KK Arnold, had 18 and 17 points, respectively.

Emma Ronsiek had 13 points and Lauren Jensen added 12 for the Bluejays (10-3, 1-2), who were outrebounded 45-29 and shot just 25%. A team that averages nine 3s and 75 points a game were just 4 of 24 from long range.

ST. JOHN’S 57, NO. 19 MARQUETTE 56

NEW YORK (AP) — Unique Drake scored 24 points, including the final nine for St. John’s, in the Red Storm’s win over Marquette.

Drake’s jumper with 1:21 left in the game gave St. John’s (8-7, 2-1 Big East) its first lead in the second half. It was the final basket of the game.

Frannie Hottinger led Marquette (12-2, 1-2) with 15 points and Liza Karlen added 14. The Golden Eagles turned it over 23 times.

NO. 24 WEST VIRGINIA 68, CINCINNATI 53

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — Kyah Watson scored 14 points, Jordan Harrison added 13 and West Virginia (13-0, 2-0 Big 12) is off to the second-best start in program history, matching the 2017-18 team

JJ Quinerly and Lauren Fields each scored 12 points for West Virginia. Harrison, coming off a career-high 21 points against Kansas, made three of West Virginia’s seven 3-pointers.

Jillian Hayes had 18 points and 11 rebounds for Cincinnati (8-5, 0-1). The Bearcats’ five losses this season have come against teams ranked in the Top 25 poll.
