GRAMBLING, La. (AP) — Kintavious Dozier’s 27 points helped Grambling defeat Southern 79-62 on Saturday night.
Dozier shot 8 for 18 (3 for 6 from 3-point range) and 8 of 10 from the free throw line for the Tigers (7-11, 4-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Tra’Michael Moton scored 21 points while going 5 of 11 from the floor, including 2 for 4 from 3-point range, and 9 for 9 from the line. Jimel Cofer had 10 points and went 4 of 4 from the field.
The Jaguars (9-9, 3-2) were led by Tai’Reon Joseph, who posted 23 points. Southern also got 12 points and eight rebounds from Tidjiane Dioumassi. In addition, Derrick Tezeno had 10 points.
