Erhunmwunse scores 13 as Providence downs Delaware State 78-48

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Oswin Erhunmwunse scored 13 points off of the bench to lead Providence over Delaware State 78-48 on Tuesday night.

Erhunmwunse added six rebounds for the Friars (5-0). Corey Floyd Jr. scored 12 points while shooting 5 for 8, including 2 for 4 from beyond the arc and added six rebounds. Bensley Joseph shot 4 for 7, including 2 for 4 from beyond the arc to finish with 11 points, while adding seven assists.

The Hornets (2-3) were led by Kaseem Watson, who recorded 18 points and nine rebounds. Robert Smith added 10 points.

Providence led 36-23 at halftime, with Floyd racking up eight points. Providence pulled away with an 11-0 run in the second half to extend its lead to 20 points. Erhunmwunse led the way with a team-high nine second-half points.
