Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish and Rüfüs Du Sol to headline Osheaga 2023

Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish and Rüfüs Du Sol will headline the 2023 edition of the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival in Montreal, the organizers announced Wednesday.

Tickets for the massive six-stage festival, which is set to run from Aug. 4 to Aug. 6 next summer in Parc Jean-Drapeau, go on sale this Friday at noon.

It’s unclear when the festival’s full lineup will be revealed, but 2023’s headliners will surely pique the interest of music fans across Canada.

Widely considered one of the best rappers of the 2010s, Kendrick Lamar’s latest album, “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers,” recently received eight nominations at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Album and Album of the Year.

The Pulitzer Prize winner also puts on a hell of a live show.

Singer-songwriter Billie Eilish rocketed to the top of the charts in 2019 with her debut album “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” She and her brother, the producer Finneas, have since become one of the biggest acts in pop music.

And for the ravers, the festival will also feature a performance from the veteran Australian dance/electronica group Rüfüs Du Sol, who are set to kick things off on the Friday.

Buyer beware: lineups can and do change.

Last year, Osheaga, one of the country’s biggest live music festivals, returned for the first time after several years of COVID cancellations.

However, two of Osheaga’s originally announced headliners — Foo Fighters and A$AP Rocky — were unable to attend. The 2022 edition ended up being headlined by Dua Lipa, Arcade Fire and Future.
