DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Kyle Filipowski was back in the starting lineup four days after sustaining a knee injury when fans stormed the court and finished with nine points, 10 rebounds and six assists as No. 10 Duke beat Louisville 84-59 on Wednesday night.
Filipowski was hurt following Saturday’s loss at Wake Forest when he collided with a fan. Team managers and coaching staff members helped guide the sophomore standout away from the swarming fans and off the court.
Jeremy Roach scored 19 points, Mark Mitchell added 17 and Jared McCain 14 as the Blue Devils (22-6, 13-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) won for the sixth time in seven games. Duke is one game behind conference-leading North Carolina with three regular-season games remaining for both teams.
Tre White scored 15 points for Louisville (8-20, 3-13), which lost its fourth straight.
NO. 4 TENNESSEE 92, NO. 11 AUBURN 84
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Dalton Knecht matched his career high with 39 points, including 27 in the second half, to lift Tennessee.
The Volunteers (22-6, 12-3 Southeastern Conference) trailed 63-55 before Knecht took over the game, scoring 11 straight Tennessee points and 20 of 23. His 3-pointer tied it at 66-all with 9:58 left, and his jumper with 8:38 remaining put the Vols ahead to stay.
Zakai Zeigler had 17 points and nine assists and Jonas Aidoo scored 14 points for SEC-leading Tennessee.
Johni Broome had 23 points and nine rebounds for Auburn (21-7, 10-5).
NO. 5 MARQUETTE 91, PROVIDENCE 69
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Tyler Kolek had 12 points and six assists before leaving the game with an oblique injury as Marquette routed Providence.
Kolek, the reigning Big East player of the year, headed into the tunnel with just over 15 minutes with Marquette ahead 60-37. He then returned to the bench and checked into the game before exiting again about 12 seconds later.
Kam Jones had 17 points, David Joplin scored 13 and Chase Ross and Stevie Mitchell added 12 each as Marquette (22-6, 13-4 Big East) won for the 11th time in 12 games.
Devin Carter scored 18, Ticket Gaines 15, Corey Floyd Jr. 13 and Josh Oduro 12 for Providence (18-10, 9-8).
NO. 24 FLORIDA 83, MISSOURI 72
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Tyrese Samuel scored a season-high 28 points, Zyon Pullin added 21 and No. 24 Florida never trailed in beating Missouri.
Samuel and Pullin scored 23 of the team’s final 25 points, taking over after leading scorer Walter Clayton Jr. fouled out with 14 minutes to play.
The Gators (20-8, 10-5 Southeastern Conference) won for the ninth time in 11 games to reach 20 victories for the first time since the 2017-18 season. The Tigers (8-20, 0-15) lost their 15th in a row and guaranteed a last-place finish in the league as well as the 14th seed in the conference tournament.
Sean East II led the Tigers with 20 points. Nick Honor added 18, and Tamar Bates finished with 15.
