Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has signed with WME, the global talent agency whose clients include Oprah Winfrey and Keanu Reeves.

The company announced in a statement Thursday evening it had signed with the former actress.

“We are honored (sic) to announce that WME now represents Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex in all areas,” the company said in a tweet. “The agency will be focusing on building out her business ventures across multiple facets of the agency & its broader ecosystem, including film & television production, brand partnerships & more.”

Variety, who first broke the news, also reported that Archewell, an organization founded by Markle and Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, had also signed on with WME.

Neither Archewell nor WME immediately responded to the Toronto Star’s request for comment.

The announcement comes roughly three years after the royal couple announced they were stepping back from royal duties and permanently moving to California.

Markle, known for her work on “Suits” prior to becoming a royal, previously said she had not intentions to return to acting.

“I’m done,” she said in an interview with Variety last year. “I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not.”

Since stepping back from their roles as senior members of the royal family, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have focused much of their time on Archewell, which includes a philanthropic foundation and for-profit media production divisions.

Tensions have been high between the couple and other members of the royal family in recent months. The pair had levelled sharp criticisms and allegations of discrimination against royal institution, publicized in a Netflix docuseries and Prince Harry’s bestselling memoir, “Spare.”

A spokesperson for the couple recently announced the Duchess will not attend King Charles’ May 6 coronation, choosing instead to remain in California. However, Buckingham Palace confirmed the prince will attend the ceremony.
