Jets beat Wild 2-1 in overtime

Kyle Connor scored on a rocket of a wrist shot in overtime to give the Winnipeg Jets a 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild Sunday afternoon at Canada Life Centre.

The goal came just 51 seconds into the three-on-three session with the Jets on the power play.

Mark Scheifele, playing his 800th career game, had the other goal in regulation. Jacob Middleton had the lone goal for the visitors.

Connor Hellebuyck stopped 26 of 27 shots for the victory.

The Jets remain perfect on the season at 3-0-0. Minnesota falls to 1-0-2.

Winnipeg returns to action on Friday night against San Jose.
