CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Deyton Albury scored 27 points as Queens beat FGCU 78-75 on Wednesday night.
Albury also contributed seven rebounds and five assists for the Royals (7-10, 1-1 Atlantic Sun Conference). AJ McKee scored 18 points, going 7 of 13 (4 for 10 from 3-point range). Chris Ashby finished 4 of 10 from 3-point range to finish with 12 points. The Royals ended a five-game skid with the win.
The Eagles (7-11, 1-2) were led in scoring by Zach Anderson, who finished with 18 points and eight rebounds. Franco Miller Jr. added 18 points, six rebounds and two steals for FGCU. Keeshawn Kellman also had 16 points and nine rebounds.
