The Manitoba Moose are heading to the AHL playoffs.
Manitoba clinched a spot in the post-season with a combination of Saturday’s 7-4 win over the visiting Iowa Wild and the Chicago Wolves’ 3-1 loss to the Grand Rapids Griffins. Kristian Reichel had a hat trick and one assist as the hometown Moose improved to 32-33-2-1.
The Moose reached the post-season for the third consecutive season with four games remaining in the regular season to round out the field for the Central Division.
Manitoba begins its quest for the Calder Cup in a best-of-three first-round series with the Texas Stars. That schedule is to be determined.
The Moose close out their regular season home schedule Sunday against the Wild at 2 p.m.
