Stephenson-Moore scores 20 points as Stony Brook knocks off Norfolk State 84-78

STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) — Tyler Stephenson-Moore’s 20 points helped Stony Brook defeat Norfolk State 84-78 on Wednesday night.

Stephenson-Moore was 6-of-10 shooting, including 5 for 8 from 3-point range, and went 3 for 4 from the line for the Seawolves (5-5). Chris Maidoh added 19 points while going 6 of 7 and 7 of 9 from the free-throw line, and he also had 12 rebounds. Keenan Fitzmorris was 3-of-5 shooting and 10 of 10 from the free-throw line to finish with 16 points.

Jamarii Thomas led the Spartans (7-4) with 28 points. Norfolk State also got 13 points from Allen Betrand. Christian Ings also recorded 11 points and five assists.
