Noodle, the elderly pug that captured the hearts of the internet with his fortune-telling abilities, died Friday at age 14, according to his owner.

Noodle, the “Bones Day” pug that captured the internet last year with his viral forecasts of the daily mood, has died Friday at 14.

The social media star’s owner, Jonathan Graziano, broke the news to his 4.5 million TikTok followers in a video posted Saturday.

“He lived 14 and a half years, which is about as long as you can hope a dog can,” he said in the video.

Graziano told the Star in a text that Noodle “was in my arms and in his home surrounded by people who love him”

“…It’s surreal. I’ve known the day was coming since I adopted him but it never felt like it would ever come.

“It’s amazing to see how many people he brought joy to. He really was the most special man.”

Noodle rose to TikTok fame in the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, providing his millions of fans a “light to latch onto,” Graziano told the Star at the time. Every morning, the 31-year-old social media manager would lift the elderly pug from his dog bed, and people around the world would stop to watch.

If Noodle stayed on his feet, it was a “Bones Day:” a sign to tackle the day and try something new. If, however, the pug curled right back up to sleep, the day had no bones — time to practise self care and take it easy.

Graziano’s videos resonated with people. They were a breath of relief in an otherwise chaotic and divisive time. Athletes, celebrities, politicians and more snuck “Bones Day” references into announcements and people even penned Noodle songs.

Graziano later wrote a picture book about Noodle’s struggle to get out of bed, titled “Noodle and the No Bones Day.” The book instantly topped the New York Times bestseller list.

“I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to fully grasp just how many people he made happy,” Graziano said. “Just by being himself and bossing me around he showed people how special being and taking care of a senior dog can be.”

Now, in the hours after Graziano’s announcement, fans are posting their heartfelt tributes to a dog that brought joy to so many. Here are some of them.
