YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — John Lovelace Jr.’s 23 points helped Youngstown State defeat Bethany (W.Va.) 107-70 on Thursday night.
Lovelace had nine rebounds and three steals for the Penguins (8-3). Brett Thompson added 15 points while going 4 of 7 from the floor, including 3 for 4 from 3-point range, and 4 for 4 from the line, and he also had five assists. Gabe Dynes finished 7 of 7 from the floor to finish with 14 points.
The Bison were led by Cole Matthews, who posted 15 points. Chance Wells added 14 points for Bethany. Cole Dailey also recorded 10 points and four assists.
